Fans of Manchester City have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays comments made by Kevin De Bruyne.
In an interview with Belgian publication HLN Sport, De Bruyne spoke about City’s potential two-year ban from European football and whether the ban could see him leave the club, stating:
“The club [Manchester City] has told us that they are going to appeal [the decision] and that they are almost 100% sure that they are right. That’s why I’m waiting to see what will happen. I trust my team.”
He continued: “Once the statement is made, I will review everything. Two years [without European football] would be long, but in the case of one year, I might see.”
In reaction to his comments, which were relayed by Man City Xtra on Twitter, fans of the club have flocked to have their say on the matter, with many claiming that De Bruyne’s departure would be a disaster for the club.

If finally are two years without UCL….. Sané ?? will be not the only one leaving City. Bernardo ?? and De Bruyne ?? as well. I hope máximum will be only one year, is the only thing can happens to keep those players. Otherwise will be disaster for City ?

What do we think?
De Bruyne has been magnificent for City since joining from Wolfsburg back in 2015, scoring 50 goals and providing a remarkable 86 assists over his 209 appearances for the club.
As such, it is no wonder why so many City fans do not want the £108 million-rated midfielder to leave this summer.
