Liverpool fans on Twitter have been discussing former Reds midfielder, Steven Gerrard.
This comes after Liverpool fan Twitter account @AnfieldRd96 shared a post on their page claiming that Gerrard is “disrespected” on the platform, insinuating that the Englishman does not get the credit he deserves by other Twitter users.
This post then gathered a lot of replies from other Liverpool fans who were eager to have their say on the matter.
Here’s a sample of Liverpool fans responding to the post:
Steven Gerrard is so disrespected on this platform, it's actually a joke.

Does Steven Gerrard get the respect he deserves?
Yes
No
During his time as a Liverpool player, Gerrard made a total of 710 appearances for the Merseyside club in which he scored 186 goals and provided 114 assists (per Transfermarkt). Now that it has been suggested that the Englishman doesn’t get the credit he deserves from people on Twitter, this paved the way for lots of Liverpool fans to share their views on the former Red.
At least he’s well respected by actual footballers

He’s disrespected in general. Stevie was an absolute terrific footballer. A midfield general.

Just jealousy and an easy target because they know he was one of the best and they hate Liverpool, so a simple way of winding the fans up.

What do we think?
The fact that so many Liverpool fans have been rallying behind Gerrard and sticking up for him just goes to show how much they admire and respect their former midfielder.
