Fans of Crystal Palace have been reacting to a post on Twitter, in which Palace chairman Steve Parish comments on the resumption of the Bundesliga.
In a Twitter post, the 54-year-old discusses the return of German football, stating: “Based on the evidence so far in the behind closed doors games from the [Bundesliga], you want to play anywhere but at home.“
In reaction to his tweet, fans of Palace have flocked to have their say on the matter, with many suggesting that the club not playing at home is probably best because of their record at Selhurst Park, while others have stated how sad they are at the thought of not being able to attend the club’s home fixtures.
Would you be happy for the Premier League season to resume?
Yes
No
Based on the evidence so far in the behind closed doors games from the @Bundesliga_EN you want to play anywhere but at home. #epl #cpfc

No change for us then.

Shhh – don’t tell Brighton – they’re basing their whole Premier league survival on arguing they MUST be allowed to play at home.

Saw the stats for away wins so far at the weekend Steve, it’s a bit bonkers eh?! ???? You would have thought the familiar surroundings would help teams, obviously not the case! Be safe. ?????

What do we think?
So far this season, Palace have played 15 games at Selhurst Park, winning six, drawing four and losing five, earning 22 points, at a rate of 1.47 points per game.
In comparison, the Eagles have played 14 games away from home so far this term, winning four, drawing five and losing five, earning 17 points, which amounts to 1.21 points per game.
As such, while some of these Palace fans have suggested that their team has a poor record at home, in comparison to their away form, the stats would suggest that their points haul at Selhurst Park is greater, albeit only slightly.
