Aston Villa fans on Twitter have been responding to a recently posted footage of Brazilian striker Wesley.
This comes after Villa fan Twitter account @villareport shared a post on their page relaying a post originally shared on physiotherapist Cristiano D’Avila’s Instagram page.
D’Avila’s post contained footage of Wesley working his way back to full fitness by running up a street in Brazil as part of his recovery from a serious knee injury the striker suffered back in January.
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Villa fans who were quick to share their thoughts on the injured striker.
Here’s a sample of Villa fans responding to the post:

Long way away yet then… still though I think he’s going to be a fantastic player for us

Would Villa still be in the relegation zone if Wesley had been fit all season?
Yes
No
Before suffering his injury, the summer signing had scored six goals in 22 appearances for the club (per Transfermarkt).
Now that this footage of the Brazilian has been doing the rounds on Twitter, this opened the door for many Villa fans to have their say on Wesley and his latest recovery update.
Still looks a bit off it on the running hopefully vack before the start of next season

Horrific injury to have sustained in his first season in English football.
Let’s just hope that he manages a full recovery ?— Andy Morris (@PrettyGreen73) May 16, 2020
Won’t be back for a long time by the way he is running

What do we think?
It’s great to see Wesley working his way back to full fitness after suffering such a bad injury. However, looking at the way he is running, it does look like there is still a way to go before he is fully ready to start playing again.
