Is Sam Allardyce the worst Everton manager in your memory?Yes, he was awfulNo, wasn't that bad |
During his short time with the Toffees, Allardyce oversaw 26 matches in which he won 10, drew seven and lost nine (per Transfermarkt), which resulted in the club finishing eighth in the Premier League (per Transfermarkt).
However, after being asked for their views on Allardyce’s time at the club (per @EvertonNewsFeed), fans made it clear that it was the manager’s style of football that was the problem, not results.
Totally erased it. Never happened.

I didn’t and still don’t think we were in that much trouble, change needed but not him, Rooney leading scorer till he took over then played him as a deep lying midfielder, the man is a joke and I still can’t look at him

A total joke from start to finish. I would erase every part of him from our club if I could. Should never have been appointed. Would of preferred relegation than him.

Awful in virtually every way.

What do we think?
As can be seen in these responses from Everton supporters, they have no fond memories of the English manager’s time at the club and many wish that he was never appointed.
While it is clear that fans were unhappy with the style of football, achieving an eighth-place finish after avoiding defeat in 16 of 24 Premier League matches is not unimpressive (per Transfermarkt).
