Fans of Rangers have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays a statement made by the club regarding their evidence which would support their push for an independent investigation of the SPFL.
In a statement published on the club website, addressing issues around the circumstances and dates on which football can resume in Scotland, the club claimed:
“It is vital that those involved in making those decisions have the confidence and support of member clubs. An independent investigation provides a route to achieving this. It has always been Rangers’ intention to produce our evidence [over clubs being ‘bullied’ by the SPFL to vote in favour of the resolution] at the appropriate time. The evidence will be provided to all member clubs well in advance of a general meeting to approve an independent investigation.”
In reaction to the statement, which was relayed by the Rangers Twitter account, fans of the club have flocked to have their say on the matter, with many applauding their club for standing up to the SPFL.
Do you believe there has been wrongdoing on the part of the SPFL?
For sure

Exactly. Our evidence. We’ll submit it, when we see fit, not to suit the lying SPFL

What do we think?
The call led by Rangers for an independent investigation into the SPFL began after Dundee retracted their original ‘no’ vote and backed the SPFL proposal, which ended the lower-league season and providing a mandate for the Premiership to also be cut short.
However, Rangers then stated that they had “dossier of evidence” which proved that clubs had been “bullied” by the SPFL into agreeing with their proposal.
As yet, Rangers are yet to released said evidence, and although fans of the club appear to be happy with their club for standing up to the SPFL, it remains unclear as to whether they are right to be as until the evidence is released, and there have been no findings of any wrongdoing on the part of the SPFL.
