Lawwell joined Celtic as the club’s chief executive in 2003, having been at the club as the chief executive for around 17 years. His initial role at the club was that of financial controller in the early 1990s.
What do we think?
Since Lawwell took over at Parkhead, Celtic have won 12 Premiership titles, eight Scottish Cup titles and seven League Cup crowns (via Transfermarkt).
This is a clear indicator of how the club has reaped success on the pitch while Lawwell has been at the helm. However, it seems that not all supporters are behind Lawwell, who has appeared to have divided opinion amongst the fanbase due to his handling of the club under his reign.
