Some footage of Rangers winger Brandon Barker has caught the attention of many Rangers supporters on Twitter lately.

Many Gers supporters have been far from impressed by this footage that has been doing the rounds on social media featuring Barker giving an incorrect answer when questioned about the words of a Rangers chant. One Gers supporter responded to this footage with the statement “get this guy out [of] our club”. Some Rangers fans have flocked to this tweet sharing a similarly negative reaction to this footage.

Rangers fan @72Staunch originally shared this footage, which shows Barker being asked: “According to the chant, on which day every week do Rangers fans follow their team?” This question was referencing the Rangers chant ‘Every Saturday we follow’, however, after taking some time to consider his answer, Barker responded by saying Friday.

Some Gers supporters have been reacting negatively to this footage, with one Rangers fan stating that the fact that the 23-year-old Gers winger didn’t know the words to this chant is “embarrassing”. When was Rangers Football Club incepted?

Should Brandon Barker get stick for not knowing the words to this chant?

YES, HE SHOULD KNOW THE WORDS TO THE CHANT

NO, IT DOESN'T MATTER

What do we think?

Barker joined Rangers back in August 2019, when the 23-year-old left Manchester City’s U23 side. He has played 12 games for Rangers’ first-team in all competitions thus far, scoring one goal during his tenure at Ibrox. Considering that Barker has been a Rangers player since August, it may be understandable why the club’s fans would have appreciated if he’d known the words to this Rangers chant.
