“I went to a pay phone & phoned my granny in Thornliebank, the first person I phoned. I can still hear her voice. You could’ve given her £1million it wouldn’t have meant as much” pic.twitter.com/8N75eTYGej

What do we think?
After joining Rangers in June 1983 as a 20-year-old, McCoist remained a Rangers player until August 1998, at which point he joined Kilmarnock, as per the Daily Record.
During his 15 full years at Ibrox, McCoist managed to score 355 goals for Rangers, 251 of which came in the league. This makes him Rangers’ all-time top goalscorer in all competitions, in addition to being the club’s all-time top league goalscorer. It may be fair to say that McCoist left an impressive legacy at Rangers, and as a result, it may not be too surprising to see plenty of Rangers fans flocking to this tweet to praise the former attacker.
