Ex-Rangers player Kevin Thomson recently posted a tweet sharing some footage of himself conducting a training session with his kids which has caught the attention of many Rangers fans.
Thomson, who currently coaches Rangers’ U18 side, originally joined the Gers as a player in January 2007. The former Scotland international went on to make 97 appearances for Rangers in all competitions according to Transfermarkt.co.uk, before he ultimately left the club in July 2010.
After ending his playing career in August 2016, the 35-year-old has been back at Ibrox in a coaching capacity since July 2018. Thomson states that this drill that he recently performed with his kids was designed to help them “get better at the basics and repetition of going both ways” in his recent tweet sharing footage of this training session.

What do we think?
As per the BBC, one of the “strict new curbs” that the British government has introduced in order to try and combat the current viral outbreak is a rule stating that British citizens “may only leave home to exercise once a day, travel to and from work when it is ‘absolutely necessary’, shop for essential items, and fulfil any medical or care needs”. As a result of these restrictions, some people may be struggling to find ways of keeping active at present.
Thomson’s recent post sharing footage of himself performing a football training drill with his kids may provide us with an insight into one of the ways that the Rangers youth coach has been keeping himself active of late.
