Fans of Rangers have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which discusses former Gers striker Marco Negri.
In the post, a Rangers fan remarked that the Italian centre-forward was not a legend in their eyes – claiming that the striker only had ‘half a good season’ and ‘stole a hefty wage’ during his brief time at Ibrox.
In reaction to the comments, fans of Rangers have flocked to have their say on the matter, with many agreeing with the statement, suggesting that Negri is just a former Gers player, rather than a legend.
Do you think Marco Negri is a Rangers legend?
Yeah
No way
He’s just a former rangers player, never a Legend in my eyes.

One fan even stated that they dislike him more than Kirk Broadfoot, which could partly relate to the fact that he appeared to stepped on Alfredo Morelos while playing for Kilmarnock. He also stated that he was relieved to leave Rangers.
At last somebody else who sees through this guy. These videos are cringeworthy. Never a legend in my eyes and it’s quite embarrassing some of the comments. Dislike him more than Broadfoot and that’s saying something.

I genuinely don’t even think he thinks he one. Just a player fortunate enough to pull on the jersey and will milk it forever more

What do we think?
Although it would appear that fan opinion largely appears to agree with the claim that Negri is not a Rangers legend, the 49-year-old was magnificent in his first season at the club.
In that 1997/98 Scottish Premiership season, Negri scored a remarkable 32 goals in 29 appearances.
However, over the next two seasons, the Italian forward managed just one appearance in the league, which would appear to be a primary reason as to why many of the fans feel that he does not qualify as a Rangers legend.
