Charlton Athletic director Marian Mihail has provided an update concerning the ongoing EFL investigation via the club’s official website.
The investigation is in relation to the recent takeover of the club by East Street Investments and Mihail says that the club is fully cooperating. He also confirmed that a meeting took place between the majority shareholder Tahnoon Nimer and the league via video call earlier this week.
He went on to tell the supporters that whilst the investigation isn’t ideal, they can take some positives from the knowledge it will ‘shed some light on the behaviour and intentions of various individuals around the process of the takeover and the months following’.
How have some of the fans responded to this latest update?

Has Nimer made the cash investment for April that was promised? This should be the first question @CAStrust are asking. Followed by why can’t you pass the EFL tests? despite 6 requests from them. Lastly ask them when they are leaving our club? THAT IS ALL!

More of the same vague statements which really don’t give us any information #cafc

What do we think?
It’s clear from these responses that the fans have found this statement to be extremely unhelpful and not at all informative. The club’s faithful have grown tired with the situation at The Valley and in our view, understandably so.
