Some Celtic fans have been talking about the latest tweet that the Daily Record recently sent out.
The Daily Record recently published an article about the news involving how Celtic have placed a number of their non-playing staff on furloughed leave. The article also stated that the club has ensured the non-playing staff that they will also be paid 100% of their wages.
The Daily Record then relayed this piece of information on Twitter. Some Celtic fans read this and felt that it was the right decision to make.
A very prudent way to run OUR club ;
ALL staff within this ARE being paid FULL WAGES : ???— Peter (@18peter88) April 1, 2020
Its called loyalty to staff. Keeping them on the books rather than laying them off. Well run business.

Well done Celtic, it has to be done to secure our future during this pandemic.

Are Celtic right to furlough wages of non-playing staff?
Yes, if they're paid later
No, wrong time to do it
Smart move and employees still getting 100% of their wages ?

We can because we PAID our taxes ??

People read the article. The club are topping it up to ensure all employees get 100% of their wages. Youd be mad not to claim it if you have employees at home

The Premiership is currently suspended until at least the end of April, with Celtic at the top of the table, where they have a 13-point lead over Rangers.
What do we think?
The fact that the non-playing staff have been placed on furloughed leave shows that the club could soon face financial troubles.
But considering they have committed to paying the staff every bit of their wage, it appears that the fans are happy about how the club is run, and denying them of their money during these tough times wouldn’t have gone down as well.
