The report went onto say that the ‘Belgian solution’ will be at the top of the agenda at the meeting on Monday. And it will be debated again in a series of conference talks with the four divisions.
What do we think?
The Hoops have a 13-point lead in the Premiership table currently and haven’t lost a single game in 2020 when competing in league action.
The Belgian league is set to end, with Club Brugge set to be crowned Champions because they were at the top of the table. Keeping this fact in mind, Celtic would deserve to the crowned the Champions too. Brugge were 15 points clear at the top and Celtic being 13 points clear shows there isn’t much difference between the two situations. Handing Celtic the title would be the right call.
