Some Celtic fans have been discussing the latest video involving a game against Aberdeen back in 2018.
Celtic-related Twitter page CelticLisboa recently posted a highlights video of the club’s game at Pittodrie from last season, which ended in a 4-3 Boxing Day win for the visitors.
On seeing this video, many Celtic fans were left raving. Others felt that the game was refereed very poorly by the officials, with Aberdeen being awarded two penalties in the clash.
2 of the worst penalties you will ever see given.

What a dive for that second penalty. Amazing.

Now that was exciting, in every way possible…

Was this the most entertaining game against Aberdeen for Celtic?
Yes, it was brilliant
I've seen better ones
One of Willie Collums worst performances. He ref’d the game with the intention of ensuring Aberdeen got everything to compensate for the dodgy penalty we got in the league cup final a few weeks earlier.

The game at Pittodrie also saw Scott Sinclair grab a hat-trick. He put the Hoops in the lead before Aberdeen equalised through Stevie May’s penalty. Sinclair scored again in the 76th minute, but Sam Cosgrove drew the hosts level once again. Substitute Odsonne Edouard made it 3-2 and Sinclair got his third minutes later. Lewis Ferguson’s 90th-minute goal was only a consolation for Aberdeen.
What do we think?
While Celtic fans do feel that injustice was done to them, if not for potentially controversial refereeing, that game might not have been as entertaining as it was. It was full of goals and perhaps the referee’s performance played a role in that.
