Some Celtic fans have been hailing a post about Paul McStay that went viral on social media recently.
Hoops-related page CelticQuote recently posted about McStay. The club legend had given an interview to the Celtic View last May (via Celtic.net) and the former player spoke about how Celtic Park is ‘some place’ now, describing the atmosphere as ‘different class’.
On seeing this post replaying those quotes, many Hoops fans gushed over McStay. They had positive words to say about him and his comments.

As a player, McStay had been at Celtic throughout the entirety of his career. He joined the club’s first team in the 1980/81 season and went on to play for over 16 years. He retired from playing following the 1996/97 campaign (via Transfermarkt).
What do we think?
Considering McStay was at Celtic throughout his career and never left for any other team shows what the club meant – and still means – to him. His comments about Parkhead also show exactly that and it could be a big reason as to why Hoops fans absolutely love McStay.
