Spurs fans on Twitter have been reacting to some quotes from manager Jose Mourinho.
In an interview with Fox Sports Brasil, the Portuguese boss spoke about having problems with players, saying: “I never had problems with great players, I had problems with players who did not like to win. Football is about tactical discipline, serious work, but it can never be about freedom, pleasure.” (via TranSPURS)
During his time as Spurs boss, the 57-year-old’s relationship with players such as Danny Rose and Tanguy Ndombele has already been questioned, with Rose departing on loan in January after a reported fall out with the former Manchester United and Chelsea boss.

Exactly
It’s not all about ability, the difference between winning trophies & nearly winning trophies is mentality
We’ve been bottling opportunities for too long
Big job for him though,as the trophy anxiety around the club is intense&constantly spotlighted by media&rival fans— The Green Manalishi (@TwoProngCrown) April 21, 2020
By the end of it he’ll say its the taking part that counts

Sorry I don’t believe it, he failed at Utd we play like we are waiting to lose he’s too negative in his approach doesn’t let players play it’s going nowhere fast.

The majority of these Spurs fans seem to be pleased with Mourinho’s comments, although a couple of fans clearly still aren’t convinced by the Portuguese manager.
What do we think?
There is no doubt that Mourinho has been successful in terms of delivering trophies throughout his managerial career and perhaps dealing with players who are in his eyes, not winners, is his way of delivering success.
