Some Celtic fans have been discussing the latest Premiership update that was posted onto social media recently.
STV journalist Raman Bhardwaj recently posted the update. It revealed that an extraordinary general meeting had been called and is set to take place on 12th May.
The update also said that the meeting is at the request of Rangers, Stranraer and Hearts, who have all called for an ‘independent investigation’ over how the recent SPFL vote was handled.
When this tweet was relayed on social media, many Celtic fans were angry. Read their reactions to the news below.
Roll on 12th….cant wait
By way….. These 3 clubs need to convince another 33 to back them for anything to come of this charade

Do Celtic deserve to be handed the Premiership title
We deserve it
I don't think so
3 teams who have had an absolute failure of a campaign fighting to somehow try take the heat off it. The May 12th proposal also won’t carry

I might be wrong but there seems to be a theme here. Teams that have been massive failures this season upset that a pandemic isn’t saving them?????

Complete and utter laughing stock. More delay means no cash. #NoBrains

Scandalous!

What do we think?
Considering Celtic are 13 points clear at the top of the table, one can see why fans aren’t too keen on the latest attempts (particularly from Rangers) to alter the SPFL’s plans regarding the conclusion of the season.
The Hoops are yet to lose a single Premiership game in 2020 and have beaten Rangers twice in all competitions this season (via Transfermarkt). This suggests that Neil Lennon’s men have been the dominant side in the division and will deserve to win the Premiership, even if it does get decided on a points-per-game basis – which the SPFL has the power to do as a result of the recent vote.
As for the latest update, no one really knows how the season will be decided. But the league should only resume if and when things are completely safe to do so.
