Some Celtic fans have been lauding the latest post about Alan Thompson that caught their attention on social media recently.
A Hoops-related page with the name CelticLisboa recently posted a video about Thompson. It had the former Bhoys player score some goals and it also had some stats from his time at Parkhead.
Was Thompson unfairly treated at Celtic?

On seeing this post, many Celtic fans raved about Thompson. Some said that he wasn’t treated well by the club when he had left.

cracking player. how he never got a chance for an england team totally lacking a left mid whilst playing in that celtic team, which was the equal of pretty much anything in the epl at the time i don’t know.

Thompson was at Celtic for a little less than seven years. He had joined the club from Aston Villa in the summer of 2000 and joined Leeds United in the summer of 2007 after a short loan spell at Elland Road (via Transfermarkt).
What do we think?
As a Hoops player, Thompson had won the Premiership four times. He had also helped the club win the Scottish Cup thrice (via Transfermarkt).
This shows that he certainly was a reliable player and since he was at the club for a little less than seven years, he did manage to impress many Celtic fans. The comments show that and he deserves it.
