Spurs fans on Twitter have been reacting to the reported news that the North London club are interested in signing Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic this summer.
According to journalist Abdellah Boulma, via Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo, the Lilywhites are the latest club to express an interest in signing the Croatian international ahead of next season. Ricky Sacks then shared this news with fellow Lilywhites supporters on Twitter, with plenty quick to have their say on the 32-year-old midfielder.
So far this season, the former Sevilla man has disappointed in his performances in La Liga, averaging a rather lacklustre 6.44/10 rating across his 21 appearances in the top flight. Although his contract is set to expire in 2021, it seems as if his time with Barcelona is coming to an end, with Mundo Deportivo also linking the likes of Sevilla, Atletico Madrid, Juventus, and Napoli with a move for the Croatian.
Would Rakitic be a good signing for Spurs?

We need him to be our creative midfielder. At Sevilla that was his role

These Spurs fans seem keen on the potential signing of Rakitic this summer.
What do we think?
Spurs are arguably already well-stocked in central-midfield and considering Rakitic is currently valued at £18 million and has largely disappointed in his performances this season, it perhaps wouldn’t be the most sensible buy.
