Spurs fans on Twitter have been reacting to the latest reports on Tanguy Ndombele which suggests that the midfielder has been struggling with muscle injuries throughout the season.
According to The Times (via Ricky Sacks), the Frenchman ‘privately’ informed the club that his injury and fitness issues this season are down to muscular pains. Spurs signed the 23-year-old in a club-record deal from Lyon last summer but he has struggled to adapt in his first season in the Premier League, averaging a disappointing 6.76 rating for his performances in the top flight so far this campaign.
The young midfielder’s fitness has also proved to be an issue throughout the season, with the French international complaining of fatigue after he was substituted at half-time against Sheffield United earlier in the season, although now it seems as if that could’ve been due to muscular pain.
Do you think Ndombele is genuinely struggling with muscular pain?

How can the club spend £60m on someone that has this many health/fitness issues?

You know he’s going to be so unfit when football gets back

Still hoping but I’d be surprised if he ever gets to Premier League levels.
China might be a better ‘fit’— paddy king (@paddytheloaf) April 30, 2020
He has the quality I’ve got no doubt about it. I think what he needs is someone he can partner with in midfield and be consistent, Jose has been chopping and changing the midfield far to much this season.

Our medical staff needed firing about 5 years ago

Some of these Spurs fans clearly have their doubts about Ndombele, with some suggesting that he may never reach the required fitness levels to play in the Premier League.
What do we think?
If the muscular pain claim is true, then you would hope that the current suspension of football will allow medical staff to speak to Ndombele more extensively and solve the problem in time for the resumption of football.
