A group of Aston Villa supporters have been discussing how much they miss travelling to the stadium to watch their team in action. This comes in response to a post from @TheVillaHome which contained a number of images from the famous old ground with the caption: ‘Anyone else miss this place?’
Dean Smith’s side last played at Villa Park on 16th February when they suffered a late defeat at the hands of Spurs. You have to go as far back as January to find Aston Villa’s last home victory in the league, but regardless of that, it seems these fans have missed attending games.
Only a lot!

Big time, even when we are struggling. We will be back, but everyone’s health is far more important currently UTV.

Miss the people

The pub
The football not so much.— Peter Wilks (@pjwilks) April 29, 2020
What do we think?
It’s clear from the above responses that these fans are desperate to return to Villa Park at the earliest opportunity. However, it appears that if the Premier League is to resume in the coming months, games will be played behind closed doors due to the current health crisis (as per BBC Sport).
Therefore, the return of football may not immediately signal the green light for fans to attend games once again.
