Spurs fans have been discussing a transfer rumour which suggests that Inter defender Diego Godin is likely to join either Tottenham or Manchester United this summer.
According to Italian news outlet TuttoSport, as per the Daily Mail (via Daily Hotspur), the Uruguayan international is likely to leave Inter this summer, with Spurs and United the most likely destinations. The 34-year-old only joined Antonio Conte’s side from Atletico Madrid last summer and has appeared 16 times in Serie A this season, but it seems as if he will be leaving the Italian side at the end of the season.
Spurs look set to lose Jan Vertonghen when his contract expires in June, so perhaps Godin will prove to be the Belgian’s replacement, although it surely won’t be a long-term replacement considering the Inter defender will turn 35 next year.
Who is more likely to sign Godin this summer?
Manchester United
Spurs

These Spurs fans seem split on the potential signing of Godin, with some feeling that he would be a good fit, whereas others seem to hope that he will be joining Manchester United instead.
What do we think?
Godin is 34 and has no experience in the Premier League but is currently valued at £7.2 million by Transfermarkt, so could be a cheap option for Jose Mourinho’s side.
