A lot of Newcastle United fans have replied to a tweet from NUFC 360 expressing their concern that the proposed takeover of PIF could be halted after sharing a post from New York Times reporter Tariq Panja.
His post includes a letter sent by Fair Square, a firm that advises on human rights issues in the Gulf.
The letter suggests that the takeover of Newcastle should be blocked on two grounds; however, they are yet to receive a reply from the Premier League.
This post has not gone down well with these Toon fans, some of whom are worried that the takeover will be blocked.
Does this new letter worry you?
Yes, the pressure is mounting
No, it will have no impact
This organisation believes PIF should fail the owner’s and director’s test on two grounds.

This is absolutely getting blocked, isn’t it? I just wish the news never broke in the first place ?

Other Toon fans, though, remain confident that the deal will still go ahead.
Don’t think it would’ve got this far if they thought it would fail

nothing’s stopping the takeover man, they’ve got nothing to write so they just have an agenda against us

It’s a formality and they can’t change the test – decent try tho ??

What do we think?
This is the latest issue raised about the takeover sent to the Premier League – with others coming from the likes of BeIN Sports and Amnesty International.
The pressure is certainly mounting, but sources close to the deal still believe everything will be concluded in the coming days.
So, we are just going to have to wait and see what the Premier League decides.
