A lot of Newcastle United fans have responded to a tweet from The Shields Gazzette’s Miles Starforth.
He claims that the proposed takeover of the Toon is set for Premier League approval and that the announcement could come as early as Thursday.
He then said in a reply to a fan that he had been told that there was talk of an announcement.
Either way, this update from Starforth has delighted these Toon fans.
Do you think it is now just a matter of time before the takeover is announced?

What do we think?
George Caulkin stated on Tuesday that the Premier League were going to accept the deal ‘very soon‘, and this tweet from Starforth backs up this claim.
Amanda Staveley’s Saudi-backed consortium have paid a deposit to Mike Ashley, and the deal has been with the Premier League going through the owners and directors test.
However, if Starforth’s tweet is to be believed, then those checks have been passed, and Newcastle fans might not have long to wait for an announcement that Ashley has departed the club.
