Liverpool fans have been discussing a message from Chief Executive Peter Moore, in which he explains that the club have reversed their original decision to furlough staff.
The club shared a letter from the Executive on Twitter, in which he admits that the club “came to the wrong conclusion last week” and that they are “truly sorry” for the mistake. He goes on to say that “we are therefore committed to finding alternative ways to operate while there are no football matches being played that ensures we are not applying for the government relief scheme.”
The Merseyside club faced criticism when it was announced that they would be furloughing their non-playing staff and therefore be handing out a 20 percent wage cut, but it seems as if they have committed to finding an alternative solution after fans and former players made their displeasure with the decision well known.
Should Liverpool be praised for their decision?
Yes

Got there in the end, however anyone with decent morality knows it was never the right decision in the first place. Questions need to be asked to those responsible.

These Liverpool fans seem to have given off a mixed response to the post.
What do we think?
It is a relief to see that Liverpool have reversed their decision, whereas the likes of Spurs look set to go ahead with their original decision, so we think that we should move on from their original decision and praise them for changing their mind.
