Fans of Liverpool have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays comments made by Loris Karius regarding his current situation with the club.
In recent comments made to German publication SportBild (via Sport Witness), Karius addressed rumours linking him with a move to Hertha Berlin, stating: “I don’t take part in speculation. The fact is that I have a contract in Liverpool until 2022… It is far too early to say anything about summer.”
He continued: “I primarily text to goalkeeper coach John Achterberg, almost every week. He is my first point of contact. But now and then I also text to Jürgen Klopp, I’m in good contact with everyone. I was never out of it.”
In reaction to his comments, which were relayed by Anfield Edition on Twitter, fans of the club have flocked to have their say on the matter, with many stating that they would not like to see the 26-year-old return to the club.

What do we think?
While it is clear that many Liverpool fans would not welcome Karius back to their club, it is not particularly surprising.
The ‘keeper made two mistakes which led to goals in the final of the Champions League back in May 2018, effectively costing Liverpool the European Cup.
The following summer, Karius was loaned out to Turkish side Besiktas, from whom he will return at the end of this season.
However, judging from their comments, it is apparent that these Liverpool fans never wish to see the German ‘keeper play for their side again.
