Former Manchester United defender Rafael has said it would be ‘great’ if Liverpool were denied the Premier League title in a recent interview. Speaking to United’s official website, the Brazilian angered the Anfield faithful with his remarks.
Rafael, who currently plays his football for Lyon in France tasted Premier League glory with the Red Devils in 2009, 2011 and 2013 but left the English top-flight in the summer of 2015 in a deal reportedly worth £2.88m (via Transfermarkt.co.uk).
Here is how some of the Anfield faithful have reacted to the right-back’s comments.
Thousands dying but thats ok if it denies LFC. No better than their fans

What do we think?
Many Liverpool fans have been left incensed by the 29-year-old’s comments. The recent viral outbreak has seen English football suspended and with thousands having lost their lives already you can understand why they have reacted angrily to the player’s comments.
Manchester United have been crowned champions of England on 20 occasions but the Reds would close the gap on their bitter rivals if this season is allowed to resume and they seal their 19th title.
