Fans of Everton have been reacting to a social media post from the club’s Ivorian midfielder Jean-Philippe Gbamin.
On Thursday, the Toffees middleman posted to his Instagram account with a photo of himself at home and stated ‘recovery is going well’ (via Everton News Feed), which fans reacted to.

? I’m hoping it’s the angle, because it looks he has no muscle whatsoever in his right leg.

If the Toffees were offered their money back for Jean-Philippe Gbamin, would you want them to take it?Yes, he was a big waste of moneyNo, he'll be class when recovered |
The Toffees acquired the services of the 24-year-old midfielder last summer in a £25 million deal from Bundesliga side FSV Mainz 05 (as per BBC).
Since then, though, the Ivorian has made just two Premier League appearances for Everton (per Transfermarkt) and has been ruled out since August with a hamstring injury (per Transfermarkt).
I hope hes left footed ha!!

Be our luck we will win cup next year and have it stripped because JPG played a five minute cameo in our 0 – 0 penalty win against Wimbledon but FA ruled he had a undeclared prosthetic leg.

What do we think?
While Everton supporters seem a little frustrated with how long the Ivorian has been injured for, a 6.76/10 average rating over his two Premier League appearances has made Gbamin the seventh-best performer for the Toffees in the league this term (per WhoScored).
So, hopefully, once the £20.25 million-rated player (per Transfermarkt) returns from his hamstring injury, he will begin to show the £25 million value that the Merseyside club forked out to bring him to Goodison Park.
