Supporters of Everton have been left furious after a Twitter post from Romelu Lukaku listed Ross Barkley as the best Toffees player he played with.
On Saturday night, the Athletic reporter Patrick Boyland asked the Belgian who his ‘best teammate at Everton’ was, to which Lukaku answered the English midfielder (per Romelu Lukaku), which Everton fans hated.

Would you ever be happy to see Ross Barkley re-sign for the Toffees?Yes, would be a good signingNo, he burnt all his bridges |
While Lukaku was a Toffees player between 2013 and 2017 (per Transfermarkt), Barkley was at Goodison Park until 2018 after graduating from the Everton academy (per Transfermarkt), meaning the Englishman was contracted to the club for the duration of the Belgian’s stint.
However, after the circumstances in which the English 26-year-old left the Toffees (via Daily Mail), fans continued to air their frustrations that Lukaku had listed Barkley.

What do we think?
As can be judged from the frustrations of the Goodison Park faithful, it is clear to see that they have not yet forgiven and certainly not forgotten how Barkley left the Toffees for Chelsea (via Daily Mail).
However, with Barkley having contributed 27 goals and 28 assists over 179 appearances for Everton (per Transfermarkt), fans may be better served remembering what Barkley did in a Toffees shirt than what he went on to do.
