Fans of Crystal Palace have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports of the club’s interest in reported Manchester United and Everton target, Dwight McNeil.
According to recent reports in the Daily Mail, Palace have identified the Burnley winger as their preferred long-term successor to Wilfried Zaha, whom the club would be willing to let go this summer should they receive an acceptable bid.
The report goes on to state that although United and Everton have been monitoring the 20-year-old, Palace hope that the offer of regular first-team football, as well as a significant pay rise from his current salary at Burnley, will help them tempt the £16.2 million-rated winger to Selhurst Park this summer.
In reaction to the reports, which were relayed by CPFC News HQ on Twitter, fans of the club have flocked to have their say on the matter, with many stating their belief that, although McNeil is indeed a fine player, the Burnley winger is not the same type of player as Zaha, while others have called for Palace to sign the 20-year-old while also attempting to keep hold of the Ivorian.
Do you think Dwight McNeil could replace Wilfried Zaha at Palace?
Yeah
No way
? Palace have identified Burnley's Dwight McNeil as their preferred long-term successor to Wilfried Zaha.
They hope the offer of regular first-team football and a handsome increase on his current Clarets salary will help them secure the highly-rated winger.

What do we think?
McNeil has certainly impressed for Burnley so far this season, scoring two goals and providing five assists over his 29 Premier League appearances, while averaging a WhoScored match rating of 7.09.
However, while many of the Palace fans appear to believe that the 20-year-old would indeed be a decent signing for their club, it seems they are not convinced that McNeil and Zaha are a similar type of player, and that, should Palace make a move for the winger, it should not be to replace Zaha.
