Fans of Crystal Palace have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports that Palace are interested in FC Augsburg centre-back Reece Oxford.
According to reports in the Mirror, Crystal Palace, as well as a host of Championship clubs, are interested in the £2.07 million-rated former West Ham defender, as the 21-year-old has become an attractive prospect due to the fact that many clubs are fearing that they will not be able to spend big this summer due to the current viral outbreak.
In reaction to the reports, which were relayed by CPFC News HQ on Twitter, fans of the club have flocked to have their say on the matter, with many stating their belief that Oxford would be a good signing, while others have suggested that Palace do not need another centre-back.

Hmmm. Burst into the scene at West Ham and has stalled a bit. 2m is a good price.

What do we think?
While Oxford burst onto the scene at West Ham back in 2015/16, the 21-year-old’s career has stalled somewhat since then, with the youngster being loaned out to Reading, Borussia Monchengladbach and FC Augsburg, before the latter signed him permanently for £1.8 million in 2019.
This season, Oxford has made just eight appearances in the Bundesliga for Augsburg, only two of which have been starts, while he has averaged a disappointing WhoScored match rating of 6.04 in the league.
However, despite this, it would appear that the majority of Palace fans would be happy to see their club make a move for the 21-year-old this summer.
