He needs to be in the team. A lot of Wilf Andros combos in those goals

I watch that goal against WBA never expecting it to play out like it did, even though I’ve watched it in appreciation about 10 times. Great player

What do we think?
While Palace fans have been very complimentary of Townsend’s goals for the club, and rightly so, the winger has not actually scored a great deal for the club, considering his playing position.
Since his arrival from Newcastle in 2016, the 28-year-old has made 140 appearances for Palace, scoring just 15 goals.
It was a similar story at one of his former clubs, Tottenham, where in 93 appearances, the winger only scored 11 goals.
In fact, his best goals-per-game ratio came for Newcastle, where, in 13 games, he scored four goals.
In any case, from the footage, it is apparent that Townsend’s goals come with quality over quantity, and judging from the reaction from Palace fans, they seem fine with that.
