Some Crystal Palace fans have been discussing the club’s links with a move to sign Bordeaux forward Josh Maja.
The Sun recently reported that Maja is considering a return to England, with Palace and West Ham eyeing a swoop for the former Sunderland man. The report revealed that Maja is currently valued at £10 million by Bordeaux.
Would Maja be a good signing for Palace?
Yes
No
A Palace-related page called CPFC NEWS HQ recently relayed this piece of news on Twitter. Many Palace fans were not happy with it, with some refusing to believe that he could arrive at Selhurst Park in the future

For Bordeaux this season, Maja has contributed to 11 goals in all competitions. In Ligue 1, the Nigerian has scored six goals while picking up two assists while playing 21 games.
Maja had joined Bordeaux in the winter of 2019, having left Sunderland back then.
What do we think?
As per Understat, Maja has overperformed on his expected goals ratio in both of his seasons at Bordeaux. He has overperformed that value by 2.53 this season and this shows that he has a sound goalscoring quality.
Palace have scored the second-lowest number of goals in the Premier League this season (via WhoScored) and therefore, despite the fans’ scepticism, Maja’s goals could their goalscoring fortunes.
