Aston Villa fans on Twitter have been speculating on Villa youngster Callum O’Hare.
This comes after Villa fan Twitter account @Total_Villa shared a post on their page revealing that they are “genuinely concerned” about reports that O’Hare recently rejected a new deal at the Birmingham club.
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Villa fans who were keen to have their say on the matter.
Here’s a sample of Villa fans responding to the post:
Genuinely concerned seeing reports that Callum O’Hare has rejected a new deal
With Davis, Green, Sarkic, RHM & Doyle-Hayes also with expiring contracts without new deals, we’re at risk of losing some of the biggest academy hopes we’ve had in recent years, in one summer ? #avfc pic.twitter.com/ri5uJv6Xtw

I think Cal are worried about game time they’ll get, wouldn’t be surprised if others are thinking the same which is a shame as you say alot of talent could walk away for nothing or have a big clear out of those blocking the pathway

Genuinely concerned a player who’s older than Douglas Luiz and has been playing for Coventry has turned down a contract offer. #Why

O’Hare is older than Andre Green and isn’t a regular starter in League 1. Ask yourself if you’d be happy to sign a 22 yr old substitute from a L1 side. We’ve got Villa fans calling out Douglas Luiz who is a Brazilian international and younger than O’Hare.

Is Callum O'Hare good enough to play for Villa next season?
Yes
No
The 21-year-old midfielder is currently on a season-long loan deal at League One side Coventry City. In 39 appearances for the club in all competitions this season, O’Hare has only managed to score four goals and provide seven assists (per Transfermarkt). This latest post on O’Hare has given plenty of Villa fans the opportunity to share their thoughts on the player.
Isn’t ohare a bit old to be called an “academy hope “?

Why so concerned it’s not as if he’s ever broke into the first team if he was that good he’d get a new contract surely ????

21 and playing League 1…we cannot be waiting around for an academy to produce to talent.

In 20 years, our academy has produced max 5 decent players. Such an overrated youth system.

What do we think?
It seems as though these Villa fans aren’t too bothered about O’Hare’s future at Villa Park. Given his poor goals and assists record at Coventry this season, it’s understandable why some would think this way.
