Some West Brom fans have been sharing their admiration for a recent goal scored by the Baggies’ U23 side in this past Monday’s Premier League 2 game versus Swansea City’s U23s.
19-year-old George Harmon scored the only goal in Monday’s U23 fixture as the Baggies secured a 1-0 Premier League 2 victory. Monday’s win leaves the Baggies sitting in third place in the Premier League 2 Division 2 table, trailing only Manchester United and West Ham United.
Although they only managed to score one in their most recent Premier League 2 fixture, the footage of Harmon’s goal which was posted by the Baggies’ official Twitter account clearly displays the level of attacking quality that exists within West Brom’s U23 side at present.
As described by West Brom’s official website, Harmon’s goal came as a result of “a brilliant team move”. The footage of the goal that was posted to the Baggies’ official Twitter account shows West Brom complete 15 passes in the build-up to the goal before the overlapping Harmon finished off what the Baggies’ official website described as “a fluent passage of play”.
The footage posted by West Brom’s official Twitter account prompted some West Brom fans to share their appreciation for the quality being displayed by their U23 side. Read the appreciative posts from some Baggies supporters to their U23s recent goal in the tweets below.

What do we think?
This goal, which has made a positive impression on some West Brom fans, may show that West Brom’s U23 side are capable of producing entertaining, attacking football. The Baggies are currently the third-highest scoring side in the Premier League 2 Division 2, trailing only the two sides sitting above them in the league table, at present.
Their relatively high goalscoring record may indicate that the Baggies have got plenty of attacking quality in their youth system at the moment. It may be fair for some West Brom fans to get excited about the quality of their youth prospects when they are currently producing some praise-worthy football at U23 level.
