Some Liverpool fans have been discussing whether or not they would like to see the club splash out on Bayer Leverkusen’s Kai Havertz this summer.
It was reported last month that the Reds were unlikely to prioritise a move for the German due to the Bundesliga club seeking a fee upwards of £80m which is considered to be nearly double what the Reds believe his market value to be (via the Independent).
Would you like to see Liverpool sign Kai Havertz?
Yes
No
Would these fans like to see the 20-year-old sign for their club and if so do they believe it’s likely to happen?

I think if he does come to us one of our midfield players will go & not just Lallana.

What do we think?
Judging by the responses it appears these Liverpool fans are divided on whether a deal would be viable and whether or not Havertz has progressed at the rate that his admirers might have hoped. He’s currently valued at £81m according to Transfermarkt.co.uk and has made 21 Bundesliga appearances so far this season scoring five goals and providing four assists.
His average performance rating since the start of the 2019/20 campaign stands at 7.13/10 (via WhoScored.com) which is very respectable but is it impressive enough to warrant such a large investment? We would guess that is where Liverpool remain unsure.
