Some West Brom fans have recently been calling for their club to sign Croatian midfielder Filip Krovinovic on a permanent transfer this summer.

Krovinovic joined West Brom on a season-long loan from Benfica during the 2019 summer transfer window. The Croatian midfielder has made 31 Championship appearances for the Baggies so far this season , making a total of two assists and scoring two goals during the 2019/20 Championship campaign thus far, according to WhoScored.com.

Portuguese publication A Bola recently reported that although Krovinovic’s loan deal with West Brom doesn’t include an option for the Baggies to buy the player, he could be available for a fee of just over £9m should West Brom want to bring him to The Hawthorns permanently this summer, following the completion of his current loan deal.

West Brom-focused Twitter account @TheAlbionTalk recently made a post asking Baggies supporters whether or not they think the club should complete the permanent signing of the 24-year-old. Some West Brom fans have responded to this tweet with calls for the club to sign Krovinovic on a permanent deal. Krovinovic has delivered some positive performances for the Baggies since late January which may have convinced some West Brom fans that he should be brought in on a permanent basis in the summer. The Croatian playmaker has notably earned an overall rating of 7.24 or higher in six straight Championship appearances between 28th January and 22nd February, according to WhoScored.com.

Birminghammail.co.uk recently described Krovinovic’s impressive recent form as “remarkable”. Considering his displays in recent months, it may be understandable why some Baggies supporters have been calling for the club to sign the 24-year-old on a permanent deal in recent weeks.
