Some Celtic fans have been talking about an Old Firm footage from days gone by that has gone viral on Twitter.
Hoops-related page Celtic1967.com posted a video on social media of highlights from an Old Firm derby back in 2009. It was the League Cup final which saw the Hoops win 2-0 and lift the title.
Was the Celtic side of 2009 better than the current team?
Not a chance
I think, yes
Aiden McGeady and Darren O’Dea had scored the goals. On seeing this video, many Celtic fans were left nostalgic. They could only recall the game sweetly.
While I was ecstatic about the result, this was a poor match – and it was freezin’ ??

This season has seen three Old Firm derbies get played in all competitions. One came in the League Cup final which Celtic won 1-0, thanks to a Christopher Jullien goal in the second half. Rangers won the Old Firm that was played towards the end of 2019, with Neil Lennon’s men winning the game early on in the season.
What do we think?
Celtic fans clearly enjoyed that game, even though one fan does admit to it not being the most watchable of matches. But a win over Rangers is certainly always a special one. When it comes in a final, it is always going to be memorable.
