Steven Gerrard’s side fell at the hands of Peter Bosz’s Bayer Leverkusen last night by a scoreline of 3-1. After George Edmundson halved Leverkusen’s lead in the 75th minute, Gers fans may have been handed a sliver of hope. But then, Leon Bailey scored a great goal in the 88th minute to give the Germans yet another away goal.
Gers fans were naturally left disappointed after the match. Many fans were specifically frustrated with Ryan Kent for his lack of impact on the game.
They think he was poor on the night, with many suggesting that he was too predictable in his decision-making. In their eyes, he made life easy for Leverkusen’s defenders.
Ryan Kent has been truly awful tonight

I like Kent, I really do. but why does he have to take someone on every time before he even considers linking up? More than 1 way to get beyond!

Goldson has been his brick wall self when hes in europe anyway. Slight complaint is Kent needs to mix it up how he goes by players the faint is predictable hes been read 3 or 4 times.

Is Ryan Kent a one trick pony?
Yes
No
What do we think?
Of his five attempted dribbles, Kent was only successful one time. It is a statistic that should not only worry the fans but Gerrard himself.
Having signed the player for £6.48 million on a permanent deal from Liverpool in the summer, his return of seven goals in 32 matches just isn’t cutting it for these supporters.
