This weekend, Rangers posted footage of club legends Mark Hateley and Derek Johnstone taking time out of their days to contact fans during the recent Scottish Premiership shutdown.
The duo insisted that they would keep fans updated amidst the uncertainty of the league while also sending their best wishes to Rangers fans. They even harmonised to sing one fan a special happy birthday song. Needless to say, they are better footballers than singers.
When the footage was shared on the club’s Twitter, fans admitted that the pair were both legends. Here are some of their reactions below.

Who would you pick to start for Rangers right now?
Derek Johnstone
Mark Hateley
What do we think?
The duo scored a total of 325 goals for Rangers between them, with Hateley scoring 115 and Johnstone scoring 210. The duo are both highly regarded by fans of the club for their incredible moments in Rangers shirts, as well.
In fact, Hateley is a club legend despite fans initially disliking the player when he joined. Johnstone, however, famously scored a match-winning goal against Celtic in a Scottish League Cup final when he was just 16 years of age.
