The former Chelsea defender was made Villa’s assistant head coach alongside manager Dean Smith after spending the last season of his playing career at Villa Park in the 2017/18 season, in which he made 36 appearances for the club (per Transfermarkt). Now that these latest comments have come out from Terry on his intention to return to Chelsea in a coaching capacity, this has infuriated a lot of Villa fans on Twitter.

What do we think?

Given that Terry spent the majority of his career at the London club, it’s understandable why he’d want to return there in the future, but it’s also understandable why these Villa fans would be a bit peeved with his latest comments when he is supposed to be completely focused on the club he’s currently at.
