In preparation for the side’s clash against Bayer Leverkusen on Thursday, Rangers posted a statement on their website regarding the coronavirus.
The statement essentially instructed fans to use proper hygiene techniques during their visit to Ibrox and also informed fans that hand sanitiser dispensers had been installed in the toilets.
Will you be attending the match against Bayer Leverkusen on Thursday?
Yes - I'll be backing my team
No - I'll play it safe at home
The problem, however, is that many fans were unable to actually read this statement. When the club shared the statement on Twitter, it must have caused an influx in page visits, making the page unavailable to others. They took to Twitter to share their frustrations.
Brilliant website crashes when about 3 people look at it

No rush rangers, not like it’s a serious issue that the website needs to be running for

You guys seriously need to beef up your servers for all the Celtic fans that clog them up anytime a statement now released. It’s always the same

Good to see the website is as consistent as the team when it comes to breaking down at a crucial moment pic.twitter.com/RfJ8fzf4ZZ

Morelos is too overweight for it to open

A few fans questioned if the site itself had contracted a virus.
The site has coronavirus.

What do we think?
These fans are clearly upset with their club’s inability to efficiently communicate important information. Hopefully, for the fans, the Rangers players perform much more effectively than the website servers when they face off against Bayer Leverkusen. If not, the in-form Bundesliga outfit could make light work of their Scottish opposition.
