Supporters of Everton have been fuming that Martin Atkinson has been appointed as the referee for their clash with Liverpool on Monday.
As revealed by the Premier League, Atkinson will be the man in the middle and Stuart Attwell will be the video assistant referee (VAR) (via Everton News Feed), which supporters fumed over.

This man has done us over in derby numerous times. Sent Rodwell off for a great tackle and was behind VAR in the game at anfield and thought it wasn’t a penalty on DCL. The man is corrupt

Are there currently any good referees in the Premier League? No, they're all dreadfulYes, some are not bad |
Over the duration of this season, Atkinson has refereed only one Everton game, which the Toffees did not lose, that being the 1-1 draw with Tottenham Hotspur in early November (per Transfermarkt).
The 48-year-old has been in charge of four Liverpool ties, though, two of which Jurgen Klopp’s side have won, one which they drew and another which they lost – the Community Shield against Manchester City (per Transfermarkt).
Got any good news?

Let’s be honest there’s not one good ref in the league hence no English refs selected for the last World Cup

What do we think?
As can be seen in the responses from Everton supporters, Atkinson is another referee that they are not a fan of as they seem incredibly disappointed with his appointment.
However, with the Toffees avoiding defeat against Spurs in the only game of Everton’s which the 48-year-old has refereed this season (per Transfermarkt), the complaints seem unfounded.
