Some Celtic fans have been talking about the latest comments from Leigh Griffiths.
Griffiths was recently talking to the Celtic official website and he said that ‘there is more to come’ from him in the season. The Scotsman went onto say that is he working on getting ‘sharper’ and ‘fitter’.
Has Griffiths proved you wrong?
I always believed in him
He has silenced me
The Celtic Twitter account relayed Griffiths’ comments on social media. This got a reaction out of Hoops fans, who could only hail the striker for what he had to say.

Griffiths has made 31 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring a total of 11 goals for the Hoops. In 2020 though, the Scotland man has scored seven Premiership goals while also picking up three assists. Griffiths recently scored a hat-trick against St. Mirren, helping the side to a 5-0 win.
What do we think?
Griffiths had sustained a hamstring injury earlier in the season and it saw him miss up to 15 games in all competitions. Apart from these injury struggles, Griffiths had taken a break from the game in the second half of last season due to mental health issues.
All of this paints the picture of him being a very resilient character. He has gone from having mental and physical issues to scoring a hat-trick against St. Mirren and scoring seven league goals in 2020. He deserves respect for it and that is exactly why Celtic fans are hailing him.
