Forrest, who is valued at £6.75 million (as per Transfermarkt), is a product of the Celtic youth academy. He made his debut for the club back in the 2009/10 season and has become a regular over the years, making 56 appearances in all competitions last season. He racked up 18 goals and as many as 20 assists for the Parkhead-based side.
What do we think?
This season, Forrest has already equalled his goal contribution tally from the previous season as he has contributed to 38 goals in just 47 games, with 16 of them being goals, showing how important a player he is for Neil Lennon’s men. It also suggests that the criticism that fans have given him is unwarranted. Instead of criticism, he deserves praise for how many goals and assists he gets for Celtic.
