Spurs fans have been reacting to the news that Barcelona are reportedly interested in signing Tanguy Ndombele this summer.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the La Liga side are interested in signing the French international and believe that he could be easily convinced due to his strained relationship with Spurs boss Jose Mourinho. Since joining the North London club from Lyon in the summer, the 23-year-old has struggled to make much of an impression; averaging a 6.76 rating across his 19 appearances in the Premier League.
The midfielder’s fitness has proved to be an issue throughout his time with the Lilywhites, meaning he has managed 90 minutes in the Premier League just three times so far this season. Mourinho was highly critical of the club-record signing following the 1-1 draw with Burnley earlier this month, saying:
“I know that the Premier League is very difficult and some players it takes time. Some players it takes a long time to adapt to a different league, but a player with this potential and responsibility has to give us more than he is giving us,” he said (per Football.London).
Would you sell Ndombele to Barcelona?
Yes
No
Reaction from Spurs fans to the news on Ndombele can be seen in the tweets below.
If we can get anywhere near the amount we paid for him I’d snap their hands off, clearly has enormous technical ability but terrible fitness and attitude, although it will be interesting to see what shape he is in when football eventually resumes

Sell him ASAP. Recouping £70 million from his sale won’t be bad tbh.

Cash in the guy has been next to useless since he joined

These Spurs fans are clearly keen to see Ndombele leave the club this summer, so long as they can get a good price.
What do we think?
Ndombele is currently valued at £58.5 million by Transfermarkt so it would presumably take a big offer from Barcelona to see him leave the Lilywhites. Although he has shown glimpses of quality, particularly in the Champions League where he has averaged a 7.34 rating, his lack of fitness could well prove a factor in whether he stays or goes this summer.
