Some Celtic fans have been left to rejoice at a stat that the club’s Twitter account posted at the weekend.
The Hoops beat St. Johnstone 1-0 in the quarter-finals of the Scottish Cup thanks to a late Ryan Christie goal. They’ve now progressed into the semi-final of the competitions, where they will lock horns with Aberdeen at Hampden.
Are Celtic favourites to win the Scottish Cup?
Absolutely, never in doubt
No, I have my doubts
At the end of the game, the Hoops’ Twitter account posted a stat about their current cup record. This left many Celtic fans raving and rejoicing.

As things stand, the Hoops are at the top of the Premiership table and have a 12-point lead over Rangers. Neil Lennon’s men have scored the highest number of goals in the league (82) and have let in only 17 goals, giving them the best defensive record in the division.
While they did lose to Copenhagen in the Europa League, the Bhoys are unbeaten in all domestic competition in 2020 and the last time they lost a home game to domestic opposition was against the Gers at the end of 2019. Apart from that, they’ve not lost a single home game this year.
What do we think?
The stat that the Twitter account put out is one to be proud of. It shows how good their domestic cup record is and how tough it is for teams to beat them. Keeping that record going will give themselves a great chance of winning another domestic treble, having already won the League Cup in December.
