Some Celtic fans have been comparing two of the club’s icons in Lubomir Moravcik and Shunsuke Nakamura recently.
A Hoops-related account recently posted a video of goals that both Nakamura and Moravcik scored during their times at Parkhead. The clip pitted some of their highlights in a Celtic shirt and fans responded with their opinions on the duo.
But some Celtic fans made it clear that the comparison is too close to call and they cherish both the players equally. Others had varying opinions.
Who would you prefer: Nakamura or Moravcik?
Moravcik for me
Naka was better
Wow. 2 wonderful, wonderful footballers. Naka different class at set pieces. Lubo maybe just shades it as a footballer. 2 footed as well. One of the rarest and most difficult things to do in the game. But what a delightful poser of a question ?.

Moravcik joined Celtic from Duisburg in October 1998 and had stayed at Parkhead till the summer of 2002, when he joined JEF United Chiba in Japan. As for Nakamura, the attacking midfielder had arrived at Parkhead in the summer of 2005 and had stayed till the summer of 2009, when he left for Spanish side Espanyol on a free transfer.
What do we think?
Comparing two players from different times isn’t the fairest thing to do. And some Celtic fans’ comments show that they are happy to cherish the abilities of both players instead of putting the other one down. In this case, it might be the right thing as these are players from different times.
