Birmingham City’s official Twitter account recently made a post sharing some injury news regarding right-back Maxime Colin, which has drawn the attention of some Blues supporters.
The tweet, which states that the 28-year-old Frenchman “has been playing through the pain barrier” recently, also shares a link to an article from The Blues’ official club website, sharing manager Pep Clotet’s recent revelation that Colin has been playing on “for more than a month” while carrying a “painful” groin injury.
It may be fair to say that the right-back managed to hide his pain well over the past month by delivering some impressive performances in a busy month of Championship football for The Blues.
Colin earned an impressive average overall rating in excess of 7.0 in four of his seven Championship appearances for The Blues during the month of February, according to WhoScored.com. Furthermore, the 28-year-old full-back earned WhoScored’s Man of the Match award for his performance in Birmingham’s 2-2 draw with QPR last Saturday, in which he assisted one of the Blues’ two goals.
Birmingham City’s revelation of Colin’s recent injury has gotten some Blues supporters talking on social media. Read the reactions of some fans to Colin’s injury news in the tweets below.

What do we think?
Clotet was full of praise for the 28-year-old right-back following his willingness to play through injury “for more than a month”. According to bcfc.com, the Blues manager stated that Colin’s willingness to play through injury “shows what a good professional he is”.
Considering the right-back’s impressive performances in recent weeks, it may be understandable why the Blues manager, as well as some Blues supporters, have been sharing support for Colin following his recent injury.
According to bcfc.com, the 28-year-old is now “fully recovered” from his recent injury setback. If Colin is now back to full fitness, it may have been worth his while playing through injury, considering it would appear that he didn’t make the issue worse, despite playing through the pain.
